2019 HDL Sponsorship Program
The HDL Sponsorship Program is another way that we keep the HDL running as a fully functional men’s baseball league. It along with player dues pays for the many cost that a league like our acquires over the season. We are implementing a new tier system this year. We will have three levels of Sponsors. Info is provided below. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to give.
Those that give $1000 or more in sponsorships will receive a “GOLD LEVEL” title. You will also receive a plaque with your name for display and a FULL SIZE CUSTOM BASEBALL BAT with your name engraved for display. Your name will also be placed on the sponsor banner on the outfield fence.
Those that give $500 or more in sponsorships will receive a “SILVER LEVEL” title. Your company will be used as a team sponsor for the season. You will receive a plaque with your company’s name for display and a spot on the sponsor banner that is on the outfield fence.
Those that give $250 or more in sponsorships will receive a “BRONZE LEVEL” title. You will receive a plaque with your company’s name for display and a spot on the sponsor banner that is on the outfield fence.
*HDL Members that are also Sponsors must pay their dues separate from their sponsorships.
HDL sponsorship may be in the form of a cash fee donation and/or in-kind fees paid to offset HDL operational expenses (typically leasing fees, equipment or capital improvements). In return, Sponsors are recognized by the HDL for their contributions. While the Hernando DeSoto Men’s Baseball League is a nonprofit organization, unlike philanthropy, we understand that an HDL sponsorship is considered sometimes with an expectation of a beneficial return. As such, the HDL always strives to delivers a fair and equitable return on our sponsors contribution.
In general, while sports organization sponsorship can deliver increased awareness, brand building and propensity to purchase, it is different than advertising. Unlike advertising, sponsorship may not communicate specific product attributes. Nor can it stand alone. Sponsorship requires support elements. And, while advertising messages are controlled by the advertiser, sponsors do not control the message that is communicated. Consumers decide what a sponsorship means.
